Salty potatoes according to the traditional recipe of Syracuse
Ingredients:
New small potato – 1,3 kg
Water – 8 glasses
Table salt – 1,5 glasses
Desi (optionally)
Preparation:
Dissolve salt in pan with water.
Bring water to the boil and then throw potatoes. Leave potatoes integral, without cutting. If cut in half or on quarter, potatoes will absorb too much salt.
In 20-30 minutes after potatoes were boiled thoroughly, check it for readiness toothpick or fork.
Remove from fire and lay out on lattice to dry up. It will create salty crust. It will take some minutes.
Give with the kindled oil.
